Herniated Discs: Definition, Progression, and Diagnosis

Herniated-Disc-Definitions-Diagnosis
What are a Herniated Discs? Herniation of the nucleus pulposus (gel-like substance) occurs when it breaks through the anulus fibrosus (tire-like structure) of an intervertebral disc (spinal shock absorber). Herniated discs occurs most often in the lumbar region of the spine. This is because the lumbar spine carries most of the body's weight. People between the ages of 30 and 50 appear to be vulnerable because the elasticity and water content of the discs decreases with age. The progression to an actual hernatied discs varies from slow to sudden onset of symptoms. There are four stages: disc protrusion prolapsed disc disc extrusion sequestered disc Stages 1 and 2 are referred to as incomplete, where 3 and 4 are complete herniations. Corrective Chiropractic: An End to Pain and Disease

Corrective Chiropractic: An End to Pain and Disease
With more and more people working long hours behind their computers, it’s no surprise that each year millions of Americans turn to their chiropractors, medical doctors, massage therapists, and acupuncturists to help alleviate their nagging neck and back problems. Unfortunately however, those seeking medical intervention, massage therapy, or acupuncture as the means to eliminate their pain will only achieve temporary relief, leaving the root cause of the problem unaddressed. Spinal misalignment as a result of poor posture, accidents, injuries, or even birth trauma put unnecessary, excessive, and often dangerous pressure on the delicate nerves flowing out of the spine. Without proper realignment of the spine, the same nerve interference responsible for back or neck pain will also cause vital organs to dysfunction and go into a state of disease. That’s why most people with back and neck problems, report having other health conditions such as fatigue, headaches, migraines, allergies, indigestion /...

Corrective Chiropractic: Poor Posture and Disease Go Hand in Hand

Seattle Corrective Chiropractic: Poor Posture and Disease Go Hand in Hand
More and more young adults are complaining of back pain brought on by poor posture than ever before. Their complaints are directly attributed to their constant use of mobile phones, handheld gaming gadgets, and laptops. In England, a recent study showed that 84% of young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 have started experiencing back pain as a result of poor posture. Back pain in young adults often doesn’t go away by itself especially if healthy lifestyle and postural habits aren’t implemented. Unfortunately with the rise in the popularity of virtual social communities, virtual friends, and even virtual schools and workplaces, the next generation is on pace to have the highest rate of disease than any other generation in the modern era. Aside from muscular pain, poor posture and spinal misalignments put unnecessary and dangerous pressure on the delicate nerves that run from the brain to the rest of...
